The BIOS Setup U tility allows you to set the system functions and the hardware
configuration for the n otebook.
When it is delivered, the noteboo k is set to factory default settings. You can
change these settings in BIO S Set up Util ity. Any changes you make take effect as
soon as you save and exit the BIOS Setup Utility.
The BIOS Setup Utility program contains the f ollowing menus:

Displays information relating to the BIOS, processor and notebook
System
Advanced syst em settings
Advanced
Configuration of v arious hardware components, such as mouse, keyboard ,
processor
Security
Password settings a nd s ecurity functions
Boot
Configuration of the start-up sequence
Exit
Exits the BIO S Se tup Utility
Starting the BIOS Setup Utility
► Reboot the devi
ce (switch off/on or reboot the operating system).

Depending on the Fast Boot s e tting in the BIOS Se tup utility,thefollowing
information may appear on the screen during start:

► If a password has been assigned, enter the password and press the Enter key.
If you have forgotten the password, contact your system administrator
or contact our customer service centre.
