Connecting an external monitor
An analogue monitor is connected to the analogue VGA m onitor port, a
digital monitor to the Display Port.
The HDMI port of your notebook can be used to connect an external amplifier,
LCD TV or a plasma TV with an HDMI connection.

► Switch off the notebook and the external monitor.
► Plug the data cable of the external monitor into the monitor port.
► First switch on the external monitor and then the notebook.
You can a lso switch between the external monitor a nd the LCD monitor of the
notebook, see chapter "
Functio n keys and key combinations", Page 28.
You can display the same p icture on the external monitor and the
notebook L CD monitor simultaneously.
