opening or incorrect repair may greatly endanger the user (electric shock,
re risk) and will invalidate your warranty.

You may remove and install the components described in this chapter yourself
after consulting the Hotline/Service Desk.
If you remove and install components without consulting the Hotline/Service
Desk, then the warranty of your notebook will be voided.
Notes on installing and removing boards
and c omponents
Switch off your notebook and remove th e AC plug from the powe r outlet.
Always remove the battery.
Take c are when you use the locking mechanisms for the batt ery and an y other compon ent.
Never use sharp objects such as screwdrivers, scissors or knives as a lever to remove covers.

points:

ays discharge static build up (e.g. by touching a grounded
object) b e
fore working w ith boards.
The equipment and tools you use must be free of static charge.
•Removeth
e AC plug from the power outlet before inserting or removing
boards.
Always hold boards by their edges.
Never to
uch connector pins o r conductors on the board.
