Installing and removing an M.2 module
(dependent on configuration)
Your LIFEBO O K is equipped with a service compartment fo r an M.2 module. The LIFEBOOK E558
can be ordered either with an M.2 module or with a standard hard disk (HDD). For systems with
HDD, an M.2 adapter is available as an accessory, in o rder to retrofit an M.2 module inste ad of
the HDD, if necessary. For more information on how to install a hard disk, see "
Install ing and
removing the hard disk (only for L IFEBOOK E558 with HDD configuration level)", Page 68.
It is not possible to install a standard hard disk in systems that
were ordered with an M.2 module.
