8.2.2.2 Installing a non-hot-plug expansion card

Ê Insert the new expansion card in the provided slot (see oval in figure above)
of the removal tool.
Ê Insert the green engaging hooks (see circles in figure above) in the rods and
push them down until they engage in the upper edge of the expansion card.
V CAUTION!
Make sure that the ports on the expansion card are not blocked by the
engaging hooks.
Ê Insert the expansion card fastened to the removal tool in the PCI slot.
Ê Close the slot lock (see figure 28 on page 109) by folding it down. Make sure
that the slot lock engages.
Ê If necessary, connect the cables on the expansion card.
Ê Close the server (see "Opening/Closing the server" on page 134).
