EDITING
HDD / DISC
Titles cannot be edited or deleted. • The titles or the disc itself may be protected. Cancel the protection.
(See pages 55 and 57.)
Dubbing cannot be executed. • When the number of the titles or the chapters exceeds the maximum recordable
number, the dubbing will not be executed.
DISC
Titles cannot be edited or deleted. • The titles in the BD-R, video mode DVD-RW, DVD-R/+R cannot be edited or
deleted if they are finalised.
The capacity of the disc doesn’t
increase even if the recorded
programme is deleted.
• With DVD+RW and video mode DVD-RW, the disc space will increase only
when the last title is deleted.
Dubbing cannot be executed. • Check if the disc is compatible for recording. (See page 37.)
REMOTE CONTROL
The remote control does not function. • No batteries in the remote control or the batteries may be weak. Replace the
batteries.
• Make sure there is no obstacle between the remote control and the unit.
• Try getting closer to the unit. (See page 12.)
• If above solutions do not solve the problem, please call an Authorised Service
Centre.
CONNECTION
Cannot connect to the network. • Check if the LAN cable connection is properly made.
• Turn on the modem or broadband router.
• Check the network settings.
• Check if the broadband router and/or modem is correctly connected.
• Check the “BD-Live Setting”.
Cannot connect to the network while
my PC is connected to the network.
• Check the content of your Internet service contract to see if your Internet
Service Provider prevents multiple terminals connecting at the same time.
SD CARD
SD cards cannot be operated or read. • The format of the card is not accepted by this unit or the card is not compatible.
• Check if the card is properly inserted.
The capacity of the SD card
decreased.
• Data may be written to the SD card when a BD-video that supports the virtual
package is used and an SD card is in the slot.
Cannot use the BD-Live™ function or
download of data does not perform
properly.
• Insert an SD card with enough space (1GB or more).
• Check if an SD card is correctly inserted.
• Make sure the write-protect switch on the SD card is not enabled.
Cannot play back BD-video (BD-ROM
Profile 2.0).
• Insert an SD card (1GB or more) which is formatted on this unit.
• Some discs with BD-Live™ function require memory when playing back the
content.
• Do not remove the SD card during playback.
• Make sure the write-protect switch on the SD card is not enabled.
USB
USB device cannot be operated or
read.
• Check if the USB device is compatible with this unit.
• Check if the USB device is properly connected.
• If you are connecting a camcorder or digital camera which uses an SD card as a
memory media using USB cable, try inserting the SD card directly to the unit.
• The USB device may not be recognised if connected during playback,
recording, or dubbing.
