APN
(Access Point
Name)
Select the name of the connection target provider.
If you turn the power of the system on, the provider name will be read
from the SIM card, and (SIM) will be attached at the beginning of the
name; select this APN.
Display example: (SIM)bgan.inmarsat.com.
Furthermore, you can add/edit APN.
Auto connection
Note 1)
If you place a tick for "Enable," connection with “Standard IP data” will
be automatically established when the power is turned on.
Persistent
If a tick is placed for "Enable," automatic reconnection function will be
activated.
Automatic reconnection function is a function which automatically
reestablishes connection with the originally connected service in case
the network for that service had been disconnected for some reason.
Auto disconnection
Note 2)
This is a setting for automatic disconnection function. If you have
placed a tick for "Enable," make sure to set the following conditions.
- Condition: Any time, No Tx&Rx, No Tx, No Rx
- Waiting time xx min (0000 - 9999)
IP address
DNS server
Set this to Auto in normal cases.
Enter the address specified by the provider.
Note 1) Auto connection
Standard IP data is billed by the packet data volume. If you have auto connection
established, your PC may start downloading program updates and other files
automatically as long as you are connected to the Internet (WAN) even if you do not
execute any PC operation, so it may be better if you do not set “Auto Connection” to
“Enabled”.
Note 2) Auto disconnection
The services automatically connected under the preset conditions will be disconnected.
Condition:
- Any time : Regardless of whether any data is sent/received, the connection will
be automatically disconnected after the time set in Waiting time has
passed since the connection had been established.
- No Tx & Rx, : The connection will be automatically disconnected after the time
set in Waiting time has passed since no data has been sent/received.
- No Tx, : The connection will be automatically disconnected after the time
set in Waiting time has passed since no data has been sent.
- No Rx : The connection will be automatically disconnected after the time
set in Waiting time has passed since no data has been received.
Waiting time:
Set the time to be defined from when the preset “Condition” is established until
disconnection is executed.
