Telephone Operation
Using the Speakerphone
IMPORTANT:In the event of a power outage, the speakerphone and
answerer will not be operational.
Speakerphone Location
Forbest speakerphoneperformance,avoidthefollowing:
• Areaswith high backgroundnoise.(Themicrophonemight pickup thesesounds
and preventthe speakerphonefrom going into the receivingmodewhenyoufinish
talking.)
• Surfacesaffected by vibration.
• Recessedareassuchasin a corner,undera cupboard,or nextto a cabinet, which
cangeneratean echoeffect.
Speakerphone Use
Notethefollowing guidelineswhen usingthe speakerphone:
• Thespeakerphoneworks similarto atwo-way radio inthat you canonly listenor
talk at onetime.
• Stayreasonablycloseto the phonesothat you canbe clearlyheardbythe person
towhom you are talking.
• Youcanadjustthe speakerphonevolume bypressingthe VOLUME(+ or -) buttons.
• Thespeakerphoneindicator comeson when the speakerphoneis inuse.
Receiving a Phone Call
1.Whenthe phonerings,the speakerphoneindicator blinksandthe caller's
information,if any,will be shownonthe displaypanel.Liftthe handsetor pressthe
SPEAKERPHONEbutton to connectyour phonecall.
2.Youcan adjustthe volumeof the caller'svoiceby pressingthe
VOLUME(+ or -}buttons.
