The default files are now in file 0 of the tape. Label is accordingly. Remove tape from drive.
e. Save the Calibration Files (SCCAL.XC):
When doing a Load-From-Cold or after a system crash, it is convenient to have a copy of the
calibration files (SCCAL.XC) on mag tape. This tape can be used to get the customer back to
scanning quickly with their existing Cal-files, particularly in the case of frequent disk crashes.
However, this is not a substitute for running fresh Cal-files if Cal-files have not been run recently.
To dump the Cal-files, have a blank tape loaded on the tape drive with high density selected, on-line,
and write enabled with a write ring on the tape. Then type the underlined at the home directory:
R
SAVECAL ‘CR’
PLEASE MOUNT A TAPE WITH A WRITE RING SO SCCAL.XC CAN BE DUMPED TO
TAPE FILE 0. PRESS CONTROL-A TO CANCEL SAVECAL OR STRIKE ANY KEY TO
CONTINUE
