GE MEDICAL SYSTEMS CT9800 QUICK SYSTEM
Rev. 24 Direction 18000
4-10-3
1. Save Customer Data
:
a. Save patient files.
Before proceeding, existing patient data files must be archived to magnetic tape, if possible, or the
data will be lost. If the system has ‘crashed’, contact Headquarters for help in saving patient data
files.
b. Save the customer default data.
If the SAVEALL program is available, proceed to save the customer default data files using the
procedures described in subparagraph c below; otherwise save the customer default data files using
those procedures described starting with subparagraph (d) below. NOTE: The SAVEALL program will
be available for use only after WD, or later, software has been loaded onto the system.
c. Save all customer default data files to one tape using SAVEALL.
A load-from-Cold will write over any customer data and calibration data. Therefore, save the Rx
patient default files, air and phantom calibration files, table/gantry characterization, x-ray calibration
and image tape record on one tape. All data files are saved twice on the tape to provide backup if
one set cannot be loaded back onto disk. NOTE: If the hospital name will be changed during the
Load-From-Cold procedure, the change will not
be made on the Default files; they must be changed
separately.

Continue with subparagraph g below.
d. Save all customer default data files to three tapes using the manual method. Start with Rx patient
default files:
A Load-From-Cold will write over any Customer Default Data Files built by the customer. In some
instances, the Default files can be saved on mag tape and later reloaded onto the disk. NOTE: If
the hospital name has been changed during the Load-From-Cold procedure, the change will not be
made on Default files; they must be changed separately. When loading a new version of software,
the Default files may not be compatible and will have to be rebuilt. To dump Default files onto blank
tapes, type the underlined:
