b. Install the 190 MByte CE alignment pack (46-183005P27). Be sure the alignment pack is at room
temperature.
c. Bring up the drive and allow pack to spin at least 20 minutes.
2. Load the Command String Interpreter:
a. Mount and load the DTOS tape. If necessary, refer to DTOS Volume #1, Part 1 for more details.
b. At the prompt (==>), observe the following and type the underlined responses:

c. UNLOCK the S/140 computer, and BREAK or RESET.
d. Observe the following and type the underlined:

UNIT 0_ (Dual Drive Systems use
0 for Primary Drive
1 for Secondary Drive)
The system is now prepared to interpret command strings.
3. Shake out the heads:

COMMAND STRING: SEE 1400, REC, LOOP ’CR’
Allow drive to seek continuously for 10 minutes, then type ‘CR’ to terminate the seeks.
