How to Delay the Start of Cleaning (on some models)
You can set the oven control to delay-start
the oven, clean for a specific length of time
and then turn off automatically.
Make surethe clockshows the correct time
of day.
Change the Start Time by touching the + or -
pads. The start time willappear in the display.
[] Touch the Start/On pad.
Theself-clean cyclewill automatically begin
at the time set.
Followthe directions in the Before a Clean
Cyclesection.
E_ Latch the door.
NOTE:Neverforce the latch.If the oven
istoo hot, you will not be able to slide
the latch.Allow the oven to cool.
[] Touch the Self Clean pad.
[_ Touch the + or- pads to set the
Clean Time.
While the oven isself-cleaning,you can
touch the Clock pad to display the time
of day. Toreturn to the clean countdown,
touch the Self Clean pad.
Theoven shuts off automatically when the
clean cycle iscomplete, and 0:00 will flash
inthe display.
[_ Slidethe latch handle to the left as far
as it will go and open the door.
The Clean Time ispreset for 4 hours and
20 minutes. You can change the Clean Time
to any time between 3 and 5 hours,
depending on the amount of soil inyour oven.
Ira different Clean Time is desired, touch the +
or - pads until the desired Clean Time is
displayed.
r_ Touch the Start Time pad.
To Stop a Clean Cycle (on some models)
Touch the Clear/Offpad.
Wait until the oven has cooled below the
locking temperature to unlatch the door.You
will not be able to open the door right away
unlessthe oven has cooled below the locking
temperature.
After a Clean Cycle Ion some models)
Youcannot setthe oven for cooking until
the oven iscool enough for the door to be
unlatched.
Youmay notice some white ash in the oven.
Wipe it up with a damp cloth after the oven
cools.
If white spots remain, remove them with a
soap-filled scouring pad and rinse thoroughly
with a vinegar and water mixture.
Thesedeposits are usually a salt residue
that cannot be removed by the clean cycle.
If the oven is not clean after one clean cycle,
repeat the cycle.
Youcannot setthe oven for cooking
until the oven iscool enough for the door
to unlock.

Whilethe oven isself-cleaning,you can
touch the Clock pad to displaythe time
of day.To returnto thecleancountdown,
touch the Cooking Time pad.
iii,If the racks become hard to slide,apply
a small amount of vegetable oil or cooking
oil to a paper towel and wipe the edges
of the oven rackswith the paper towel.
