Pullthe knobstraight offthe stem.
Lower Control Panel (Front Manifold Panel) and Knobs
It'sa good idea to wipe the control panel
after each use of the oven. Usea damp cloth
to clean or rinse.Forcleaning, use mild soap
and water or a 50/50 solution ofvinegar and
water. Forrinsing,use clean water. Polishdry
with a soft cloth.
Donot useabrasive cleansers,strong liquid
cleaners,plastic scouring pads or oven
cleaners on the control panel-they will
damage the finish.
Donot bend knobs by pulling them up or
down or by hanging a towel or other such
loads.Thiscan damage the gas valve shaft.
Thecontrol knobs may be removed for easier
cleaning.
Hake surethe knobs are in the Offpositions
and pull them straight off the stems for
cleaning.
Theknobs can be cleaned in a dishwasher
or they may also be washed with soap and
water. Hake surethe insidesof the knobs are
dry beforereplacing.
Replacethe knobs in the Offposition
to ensure proper placement.
Metal parts can be cleanedwith soap
and water. Do not use steel wool, abrasives,
ammonia, acids or commercial oven
cleaners.Drywith a soft cloth.
Oven Racks
Cleanthe rackswith an abrasive cleanser or
scouring pad. After cleaning,rinse the racks
with clean water and dry with a clean cloth.
If the racks ever become hard to slide,wipe
the rack edges or oven rack supports with
vegetable oil.
NOTE:Takethe racksout of the oven before
you begin theself-cleancycleor they may
discolor.

Cleanthe rackswith an abrasive cleanser.
Theoven racksmay be cleaned inthe
self-cleaning oven. However,the racks
will darken in color,lose their luster
and become hard to slideif cleaned
during the self-cleaning cycle.
Tomake the racksslide more easily,apply
a small amount of vegetable oil or cooking
oil to a paper towel and wipe the edges
of the oven rackswith the paper towel.

Oven LightReplacement
^ CAUTION: Beforereplacingyour
ovenlight bulb,disconnectthe electrical power
to the range at the main fuse or circuit breaker
panel.Besure to let the light coverand bulb
coolcompletely.
Theoven light bulb is covered with a
removable glasscover that is held in place
with a bail-shaped wire. Remove the oven
door,ifdesired,to reach cover easily.
Toremove:
fj] Holda hand under the cover soit
doesn't fall when released.With fingers
of the same hand, firmly push back
the wire cover holder. Liftoff the cover.
_jj Do not touch hot bulb with a wet cloth.
Replacebulb with a/40-watt household
appliance bulb.
Toreplace cover:
7J Placeit into the groove of the light
receptacle. Pullthe wire forward to
the center of the cover until it snaps
into place.When in place,the wire holds
the cover firmly. Becertain the wire
isin the depression in the center
of the cover.
Connect electrical power to the range.
3 2 Do not remove any screws to remove
the cover.
