Cooktop Surface
Toavoid damaging the porcelain-enamel
surface of the cooktop and to prevent it
from becoming dull, clean up spillsright
away. Foodswith a lot of acid (tomatoes,
sauerkraut, fruit juices, etc.)or foods with
high sugar content could cause a dull spot
if allowed to set.
NOTE:Do not store flammable materials
in on oven or near the cooktop. Do not
store or use combustible materials,
gasoline or other flammable vapors and
liquids in the vicinity of this or any other
appliance.
When the surface has cooled,wash and
rinse. Forother spillssuch asfat spatterings,
wash with soap and water once the surface
has cooled.Then rinse and polishwith a dry
cloth.
NOTE:Do not liftthe cooktop on sealed
burner models. Lifting the cooktop can lead to
damage and improper operation of the range.
Stainless Steel Surfaces (onsome models)
Do not use a steel wool pad; it will scratch
the surface.
Tocleanthe stainlesssteel surface,
usewarm sudsywater or a stainlesssteel
cleaner or polish.Alwayswipe the surface in
the direction of the grain. Follow the cleaner
instructions for cleaningthe stainlesssteel
surface.

To make cleaning easier,the cooktop may be
lifted up.
NOTE:Do not lift the cooktop on sealed
burner models. Lifting the cooktop can lead to

Cleanunder the cooktop with hot, soapy
water and a cleancloth. If you removed
your surface burners while cleaning, make
surethey are properly seated when replacing
them.
After cleaning, lower the cooktop (becareful
not to pinchyour fingers).
To raise the cooktop:
[Z] Besurethe burners are turned off.
[] Removethe grates.
r_ Grasp the two front burner wells
and lift up.
Vent appearance and location vary.
Oven Air Vents
Neverblock the vents (air openings)of the
range.They provide the air inlet and outlet
that are necessary for the range to operate
properly with correct combustion.
Air openings are located at the rear of
the cooktop, at the top and bottom of the
oven door,and at the bottom of the range,
under the warming drawer, storage drawer
or kick panel (dependingon the model).
