BurnerGratesand VentGrille
Porcelain eimmel burner grates and the
xent grille should be washed regularly
and, of com_e, atter spilloxe_.
The grates ma} be washed either in the
dishwasher or you may wash them in hot
soap)' water and rinse with clean water:
_l_)/l Ill,IV also use abrasive cleanei_ and
scotwing pads to clean bm'ner grates and
the vent grille. D_' the grates and grille
with a cloth---<lon't put them back on the
cooktop wet.
To get rid of burned-on toed, place the
grates and grille in a covered containe_:
Add 1/4 cup (59 mi,) ammonia and let
them soak several hom_ or overnight.
_M_sh, rinse well and d_'.
_Mthough they're durable, the grates
and grille will gradually lose their shine,
regardless ot the best care you can give
them. This is due to their continual
exposure to high temperatures.
Do not operate a burner t0r an extended
period of time without cookware on the
grate. The finish on the grate ma} chip
without cookware to absorb the heat.
_dter cleaning, replace the center vent
grille fi_t. Replace the side grates so that
the center extensions are oriented toward
the center of the cooktop. The rear
center extensions should slightly overlap
the vent grille. Make sm'e the grates are
positioned securely over the burne_ and
that they are stable and level.
