About Programming the Remote
The remote can be programmed to control other brands or
remote controllable TVs, digital satellite receivers, and cable
boxes. It is already programmed to operate most GE, RCA,
and ProScan televisions and digital satellite receivers.
Programming the Remote to Control a TV
If theTV does not turn on when you press theTV button, the
remote needs to be programmed.
Follow these steps to program the remote to control your
particularTV:
1. Turn on theTV.
2. Find yourTV brand and code number(s) on the code list on
the next page.
3. Press and hold theTV button on the remote.
4. Enter the three-digit code from the code list.
5. ReleaseTV, and then press CHAN up or down. If theTV
responds to the remote commands, the remote is
programmed.
6. If theTV does not respond, repeat these steps using the next
code listed for yourTV's brand
Operate the TV
After you set up the remote, see which buttons operate yourTV.

Point the remote at theTV, and press theTV button.
If theTV does not turn on, press theTV button and then press
the PWR button.

yourTV.Try pressing buttons, such asVOL and MUTE. See
"TV Function Buttons" in the VCR Basics Section for details.
This remote may not operate all
models of the brands that are
shown.
