Parking
WARNING
¡¡

¡Park the machine on firm, level ground
and apply the parking device. If you
must park on a slope or incline, block
the machine securely to prevent
movement.
¡¡
¡¡
¡When parking on streets, use barriers,
caution signs, lights, etc., so that the
machine can easily be seen even at
night to avoid collision with other
vehicles.
¡¡
¡¡
¡Before leaving the operators seat, set
the safety bar to the lock position and
stop the engine.
¡¡
¡¡
¡Never leave the machine with the
engine running or the lift arms raised,
unattended. If arms are left in raised
position, they
MUST be restrained by
the lift arm stop.
Before leaving the machine, do the following:
1. Set the control levers and pedal to the
neutral position.
2. Return the throttle lever and idle the
engine at low speed.
3. Lower the bucket to the ground.
4. Set the safety bar to the lock position.
5. Stop the engine and remove the key.
Refer to page 61 “Stopping the Engine”.
Inspection and Checks After
Stopping the Engine
1. Check for oil and water leakage and
inspect the working equipment, covers
and lower body. If any irregularities are
found, repair.
2. Fill the fuel tank.
Refer to page 101 “Inspecting the Fuel
Level”.
3. Remove any paper scraps or dirt from the
engine room.
4. Remove any mud from the lower body.
Locking
Be sure to lock the following places:
¡Fuel filler cap
¡Engine hood
¡Manual storage
¡Cab door
