Protector Diesel Installation Planning
Checklist
The local building code administrator or fire marshal
has verified the generator must be located a minimum of
________ ft (________m) from a house or other struc-
ture.
NOTE: Minimum distance will be based on local zon-
ing and code requirements.
The local AHJ has advised me regarding require-
ments for electrical and/or building permits, as well as
those regulations relating to emissions and fuel storage.
I have been advised of local requirements for con-
struction of a concrete base pad, and whether anchoring
requirements are needed for installation on a flood plain.
I have verified with the appropriate authorities the
generator must be located a minimum of ________ ft
(_______m) from a property line.
I have been advised whether the local fire marshal (or
other third party) is required to be present at start up, or
when the fuel tank is filled for the first time.
I have verified the installation site is applicable to
optional standby only and does not require an NFPA 110
capable generator.
The local fire marshal has verified I am required to
extend the fuel tank vents ________ ft (_________m)
above the surrounding grade.
The local fire marshal has verified that local codes
require installation of the diesel product safety accesso-
