6.2 Configuring the Device:
Lyxn Protocol Converter has got two drivers, Serial Driver and TCP/IP driver to be
configured. Serial Driver can be configured either as RTU/ASCII in Master/Slave mode.
TCP/IP Driver can be configured as Server/Client. Device can operate in any one of the two
communication modes.
Transparent Mode:
Transparent mode is supported only in Master/Slave configuration. In this mode Mapping
and Background Process Data block (BPD) is not enabled. In Factory Default Settings,
communication mode is transparent.
Mapping Mode:
In mapping Mode Mapping and Back Background Process Data block (BPD) is enabled. It is
supported by both, Master/Slave configuration and Master/ Master configuration. For
mapping and BPD, refer Mapping and Back Background Process Data block (BPD).
