Q. How to know how many devices are connected in the network?
A. Run the Locator Utility provided along with the Lynx Gateway Software. Locator will
display all the devices connected in the network along with their MAC ID and IP address.
Q. How to find the IP address of the device?
A. Run the Locator Utility provided along with the Lynx Gateway Software. It will display all
the devices connected in the network. Locate the IP address corresponding to the MAC ID of
your device. If you cannot locate the device in Locator utility, refer to section 4.1
Q. How to change the IP address of the Lynx Gateway module?
A. Access the web-page with the already assigned IP address to the device.
Click on Driver2 settings tab.
Edit the IP address to DHCP/AutoIP or Static or AutoIP according to the requirement.
Update the changes.
Q. How to change the Serial Interface of the device?
A. Serial Interface can only be selected for Port1.Before changing the serial Interface,
ensure that the "Port" under serial port settings is unlocked under Driver1 settings page on
web-page. To change the Serial Interface of the device, refer to section 2.4.1.
Q. How to change the Serial Parameters of the device?
A. Access the web-page with the assigned IP address to the device.
Click on Driver1 settings tab.
Edit the Serial parameters like Baud-rate, Data-size, Stop-bits and Parity and update
the changes.
Q. How to Restore Factory Default Settings of the device?
A. Factory Default Settings can be restored by two methods:
1) Restore Factory Default Settings through Web-page:
Access the web-page with the assigned IP address to the device.
Click on Miscellaneous Settings tab.
Click on "Restore Defaults"
2) Restore Factory Default Settings through Reset key:
Refer to section 2.4.2.
Q. What are the requirements before implementing "mapping"?
A. Before implementing Mapping, user should know following things:
1) Device ID and Address Map of the parameters of the devices to be interfaced.
