5.0 Important information
5.1 Shutdown procedure
In case of cleaning or maintenance always follow these six steps as the shutdown
procedure. As an alternative to this, you have the option of using the cleaning mode
when your roaster has version 7.54 or higher.
1. Turn the roaster off. You can do this by pushing the on/off button in the F2
section.
2. Finish the cooling down.
3. The temperature needs to be below 50 degrees 50 °C / 122 °F.
4. Push the emergency button on the console.
5. Unplug the roaster electrics supply.
6. The gas valve should be connected by a certified gas mechanic.
5.2 Location of the electric drawings
The electric drawings are supplied with this Installation & Operations manual. The
manual and electric drawings are located in the control panel of the machine. When
the required documents are not available do not install the machine. Immediately

5.3 Service for the roaster

Every 400 hours your coffee roasters need a check-up and cleaning by Giesen-

5.4 Acceptable products
The sole purpose of a Giesen Coffee Roaster is to roast coffee beans. No other
products may be processed since it may lead to fire, explosions or other dangerous
situations.
