Transmission cover
- Loosen the 15 screws and remove the transmis-
sion cover with the aid of a mallet.
N.B.
THE CRANKCASE IS SLIGHTLY BLOCKED BY
THE TIGHT FIT BETWEEN THE SHAFT OF THE
DRIVEN HALF-PULLEY AND THE BEARING
HOUSED ON THE CRANKCASE.
Removing the driven pulley shaft bearing
- Slightly heat the crankshaft from the inside side
to avoid damaging the coated surface and use the
driven pulley shaft or a pin of the same diameter
to remove the bearing.
N.B.
IN CASE OF DIFFICULTY A STANDARD 8MM-
INSIDE DIAMETER EXTRACTOR CAN BE
USED.
Refitting the driven pulley shaft bearing
-Refit the bearing with the aid of a bushing with the same diameter as the external plate of the bearing
after slightly heating the crankcase from the inside.
N.B.
WHEN REFITTING, ALWAYS REPLACE THE BEARING WITH A NEW ONE.
CAUTION
WHEN REMOVING/REFITTING THE BEARING, TAKE CARE NOT TO DAMAGE THE PAINTED
SURFACE.
