Disconnect the Pump
Heated fluid can cause seve re burns and can
cause equipment surfaces to become very
hot. We ar pro tective gloves and clothing when
operating this equipment in a heated system. Allow
the equip ment to cool thoroughly before servicing.
Note
Theprimingpistoncanbeserviced
without disconnecting the displacement
pump from the motor. see
Replace Priming Piston, page 11.
1. Flush the pump, if possible. Stop the pump at the
bottom of its stroke, to prevent fluid from drying
on th e exposed displacement rod.
2. Relieve the pressure. See
Pressure Relief Procedure, page 8 .
3. Allow the pump to cool i f being used in a heated
system.
Note
It may be nec essary to use a he at gun to
ease disassembly of some parts.
4. Disconnect the air and fluid hoses.
5. Disconnect the pump from the heated plate n.
6. Disconnect the displacement pump from the
motor as explained in your separate system
manual.
