Accumulators
2. Begin by connecting the transfer pump to the
Accumulator’s Material Inlet Port with a 1/2”
NPT Male Fitting (Preferably 303/304 SST)
I
Be sure to purge the incoming material line of
air before attaching to the accumulator
3. Next, connect the incoming air supply into the
port labeled “PLANT AIR IN” (Green Arrow)
using 1/4" pneumatic tubing and run more 1/4"
tubing from the port labeled “AIR OUT TO
TRANSFER PUMP” (Yellow Arrow) to the
transfer pump.
At this point, it is recommended that you also
plug ~3in of clear 1/4” tube into the outlet side
of the ball valve (Blue Arrow).
4. Open the ball valve (Green Arrow), turn your
gage pressure way down (Yellow Arrows) and
slowly allow material to flow into the
accumulator.
While the accumulator is filling, feel free to
press down on the ball valve assembly to help
fill up the vent tube inside the assembly
Once the vent tube is full, you will notice a
small amount of material come through the ball
valve. At this point, shut the valve (Red Arrow)
and allow the accumulator to finish filling. It will
stop when it hits the high level sensor.
