Resolution
This setting is the image resolution of the engraving in DPI (dots per inch = pulses per inch). There are 11 DPI settings
to choose from 50, 75, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 800, 1000 and 1200.
The resolution can also be referred to as the vertical lines per inch or fill spacing. This is how many raster strokes per vertical
inch of travel the motion system steps down to produce the engraving.
Higher resolutions will produce cleaner and deeper engraving but take longer. Lower resolutions produce a coarser and
shallower image but are quicker to engrave.
Try the various settings and note the results.
The Y resolution automatically sets that in X
First start by setting the Y resolution and then in X as need be (as the latter’s value will be that defined in Y).
When the "Rapid" option is activated, the file transfer speed is greater, despite the request for high resolutions. This option
reduces the engraving time but causes a small loss of quality.
