4.1 Initial Fuelling and Parking
Fill fuel tank with diesel. (See Section 6.)
Top up hydraulic tank if necessary, with correct oil. (See Section 6.)
Position machine on level ground.
Apply vehicle handbrake.
If machine is detached from vehicle, apply trailer handbrake (fig 4.1) and chock wheels.
4.2 Drawbar adjustment
Support front of chipper with a suitable jack and remove two locking bolts (fig 4.1).
Adjust jack until chute is 600mm or more from ground.
Once correct height is reached refit two bolts in their new
position and tighten securely.
Remove jack.
CAUTION! A loaded vehicle increases height
of infeed chute.
CAUTION! If height of drawbar is adjusted,
check that handbrake cable is also correctly set.
4.3 Infeed Chute
Remove transport pin for infeed chute catch, release
catch (fig 4.3), and gripping tubular edge, lower infeed
chute to work position and reset catch (fig 4.3).
Measure height of infeed chute. If less than 600mm
either adjust drawbar following instruction 4.2, or detach
machine from vehicle and set with drawbar wheel.
Lower rear stand and secure.
Press either Green button to set control bar for use
.
CAUTION! Infeed chute must not be used at
less than 600mm from ground. (fig 3.4.3)
CAUTION! Before travelling, always fold up
and secure infeed chute flap.
