INSTALLATION AND LOCATION OF
CHARGING STATION
The charging station must be placed
near a 230V power outlet. Alternatively,
an extension cable can be pulled out
to the desired position of the charging
station.
The flat entrance area of the charging
station must face to the right.
The charging station can be placed in
2 ways:
1. Along one of the sides (A)
2. In a corner (B)
If a corner location is chosen, ensure
that the boundary cable can pass
behind the charging station as close
to the backplate as possible (<1 cm)
and into the connector, as shown in
illustration (B). In this case, there will be
a small area behind the charging station
that cannot be mowed. This area could
be covered with tiles or stones instead
of grass.
Note: If possible, it is recommended
that you have 1-2 m of extra cable. See
section ‘Connecting the boundary
cable’.
The charging station must be placed
on a completely flat surface and there
needs to be a straight stretch of at least
1 metre in front of the charging station
to ensure the robotic lawnmower can
correctly enter the charging station.
It is important that you observe this
requirement.
Lightning protection
To protect the robotic lawnmower from
lightning strikes, it is recommended
that you do not place the charging
station under or near a tall tree.
Similarly, extension cables for charging
stations must not be run around tall
trees.
It is recommended that you do not
operate the robotic lawnmower during
thunderstorms to prevent damage to
electronic components from lightning
strikes. It is also recommended that you
disconnect the charging station from its
power supply during a thunderstorm,
and, if possible, disconnect the
boundary cable from the charging
station.
