Why is there water downstream of my HANKISON Dehumidifier?
- YypaulAug 7, 2025
Water downstream of your HANKISON Dehumidifier can be due to several reasons. It could be residual free moisture in the pipelines, in which case you should blow out the system with dry air. Another cause could be an open air bypass system, so check the valve positions. Reversed inlet and outlet connections can also cause this, ensure the connections are correct. If air lines are exposed to temperatures below the dew point, insulate or heat trace them, or use dry air to lower the dew point. Excessive free moisture at the dryer inlet requires a separator to be installed ahead of the dryer. Condensate not being drained, a dryer overload, or a malfunctioning refrigeration system could also be the cause. Please refer to section C for solutions to these problems.
