• Press the Zero key. The display will show “‑0.0‑” when the meter is zeroed and ready for
measurement.
• Remove the cuvette.
• Add 0.5 mL of sample to the cuvette using the second 1 mL syringe.
• Replace the cap and invert several times to mix.
• Reinsert the cuvette into the instrument and close the lid.
• Press Timer and the display will show the countdown prior to the measurement or, alternatively,
wait for 15 seconds and press Read. When the timer ends the meter will perform the reading.
The instrument displays the results in mg/L of magnesium (Mg
2+
).
INTERFERENCES
Interferences may be caused by: acidity (as CaCO
3
) above 1000 mg/L, alkalinity (as CaCO
3
) above
1000 mg/L, Calcium (Ca
2+
) above 200 mg/L, Iron must be absent, Aluminum must be absent,
Copper must be absent.
