Table 4-1 PA Control Distribution
This chart is meant as an aid in tracking control, status and metering signals between the PA
Controllers and the individual PAs. The first column groups the PAs by Z-Plane. The second
column gives the actual PA designation or location as silkscreened on the inside of the PA
doors. As for the third and fourth colums, the PA Controller is identical and has the ability to
control 8 PAs, PA1-PA8. However, an output labeled PA1 on the PA Controller schematic
does not necessarily go to amplifier 1. For example, note that on the Z-Plane, amplifier 4 is
connected to any input or output labeled PA8 on PAC #1. The fifth column is actually the
intermediate step between the PAs and the PA Controllers and gives the designation and
connector number for each of the PAs. The last 2 columns give the component designator
for the Isolation Switch and Isolation Resistor for each of the PAs. Ths Isolation switches
and resistors are located on the Isolation boards mounted on the side of the Z-Plane.
