TROUBLESHOOTING
TAP-2: NO POWER UP (BASE OR TRANSIT
CASE)
RF-5800H 150-Watt Base Station or Transit Case System does not
power up.
INITIAL CHECKS
•
Make sure all cables are connected.
• Make sure all units are properly seated.
• Make sure all connections are tight and there are no broken
connections.
PROCEDURE
Check AC line voltage being supplied to RF-5051PS.
YN
Is input voltage between 90 and 300 VAC?
Connect RF-5051PS to a proper AC source.
Check AC line voltage at the output of Primary AC Power Cable
(10181-9831) connected to J17 on the RF-5051PS.
YN
Is AC voltage present?
Remove and replace Primary AC Power Cable
(10181-9831).
YN
Does system power up?
Refer to troubleshooting index.
Return system to operational readiness.
Check DC output voltage from RF-5051PS at connector J15.
YN
Is output voltage +28.3 VDC nominal?
Remove and replace RF-5051PS.
YN
Does system power up?
Refer to troubleshooting index.
Return system to operational readiness.
Check RF-5051PS DC output voltage at the output of DC Power
Cable Assembly (10181-9833-004) connected to J10 on the
RF-5833H-PA.
YN
Is DC voltage present?
Remove and replace DC Power Cable Assembly
(10181-9833-004).
YN
Does system power up?
Refer to troubleshooting index.
Return system to operational readiness.

Check CB1 on RF-5833H-PA.

Is CB1 closed?
Reset circuit breaker and retest system.

Does CB1 stay closed?
Remove and replace RF-5833H-PA and
retest system.
YN
Does CB1 stay closed?
Reinstall previously removed
RF-5833H-PA. Remove and
replace RF-5800H-MP and
retest system.

Does CB1 stay closed?
Refer to

to identify faulty
system cable.
Return system to operational
readiness.
