8.2.15 Renewing the poly v belt and checking the function of the switch-off
unit

NOTICE

When changing the belt:
▪ Always check the function of the switch-off unit. The switch-
off pin must emerge by spring force, or else the machine will
not switch off automatically if the belt tears.
▪ If the grooves are broken off or bent, renew the damaged
pulley.

2 Tension pulley

Procedure — Removing the poly v belt
Step Activity
1 Unscrew one cylinder screw (1) from the pulley (3).
2 Push back the tension pulley (2) and lock it using the cylinder
screw (1).
3 Unscrew the pulley (3).
4 Check the pulley (3) for broken or bent grooves.
5 Remove the poly v belt.
