2 Square opening
Procedure — Centering the pulley
Step Activity
1 Lightly secure the pulley with a cylinder screw (1) without plac-
ing the pulley fully on the centering.
2 Insert the ratchet or T-piece 1/2" with the required extension into
the square opening (2).
3 Turn the pulley until a further cylinder screw can be fitted.
4 Insert the remaining cylinder screws and tighten all screws.
8.2.16 Replacing the diesel particulate filter
Safety notes
CAUTION
Danger of burns.
During the regeneration process, the diesel particulate filter and
the exhaust system become very hot. There is a danger of burns
when working on a hot exhaust system.
▪ Let the diesel particulate filter and exhaust system cool
down.
▪ Wear safety gloves.
CAUTION
Damage of the diesel particulate filter from improper clean-
ing.
▪ Do not spray the filter fabric of the diesel particulate filter
with a water jet or high pressure jet.
▪ Do not use gasoline or chemical cleaning agents.
▪ Do not burn the filter fabric of the diesel particulate filter free
of soot.
