Turn
the
oscillator circuit board foil-side-up
and
position it
as
shown.
Apply
a
thin layer of solder to the two
corners of the circuit
board
as
shown.
(
) Cut two
1"
lengths of wire braid.
Apply a
small
amount of
solder
to
both ends of both braid lengths.
(
) Position one
1"
length
of
braid
1/8"
onto corner A of the
circuit
board.
Heat the foil and the braid
until the
solder melts. Remove the heat
from
the connection. NOTE:
Hold the
braid
with
pliers
to
avoid burning

In
the same manner,
mount and
position the other
1"
wire
braid
at
corner B
on the board. Be sure
you
do
not make a
solder bridge to
other foils.

Carefully inspect the
circuit
board
for
the
ollowing conditions:
)
Unsoldered connections
)
"Cold" solder connections.
)
Solder
bridges between
foil
patterns.
)
Protruding leads which could touch
together.
)
Transistor for the proper type and
installation.
FINISH
Set the circuit board
aside temporarily.
