The following 3 methods (1), (2), and (3) are available
to enable the remote operation. Usually employ the
method (1).
① Disconnect the power.
② Remove the front door and remove the starter/con-
trol box cover.
③ Connect the wires between the
HI
SCREW’s starter/
control box and an external control panel.
For information on a wiring diagram,
see p. 40 –
41.
④ Mount the starter/control box cover and mount the
front door.
⑤ Reconnect the power.
Method (1): On the
HI
SCREW’s Instrument Panel
① Press the REMOTE button.
② The REMOTE light lights and indicates that remote
operation is set by instrument panel buttons.
③ To return to local operation, press the REMOTE
button again. The REMOTE light goes off to indi-
cate that operation is switched back to local opera-
tion.
Method (2): On the Starter
① Switch from monitor mode to setting mode (F
mode).
② Remote operation switch method (F005) of remote
operation settings from “0: Panel setting” to “2:
Remote fixed.”
③ Make sure that the REMOTE light is on to indicate
a remote operation enabled.
Method (3): On an External Setting Switch
(Consult your Hitachi Authorized dealer or Hitachi
Local Representative.)
① Wire the external setting switch.
② Switch from monitor mode to setting mode (F
mode).
③ Remote operation switch method (F005) of remote
operation settings from “0: Panel setting” to “3:
Remote switch signal.”
④ Turn on the external setting switch.
⑤ Make sure that the REMOTE light blinks to indicate
a remote operation enabled by the exteranl setting
switch.
● In the case of multiple unit control specifications, when
multiple unit control is set, it automatically changes to
the remote setting. The REMOTE light blinks at this
time.
● Remote operation method alteration in the setting
mode can only be entered when the compressor is not
operating.
● The compressor STOP button can also be used to
stop operation when operating in the remote mode.
