8.8 Cleaning of Cooler
①
Press the STOP button.
②Disconnect the power.
③ Remove the rear cover and rear center cover;
remove the fan duct (5).
④Prepare an air blow nozzle with bent end. Blow the
compressed air to the cooler fins to blow adhered
dust or waste off of them.
⑤ If the dirt or dust cannot be sufficiently removed
from the rear cover side alone, remove the front
door and maintenance cover, and clean the cooler
from the front side as well.
⑥ Reassemble the covers to its original place.
If dust sticks on the cooling air side of the cooler, it
deteriorates its heat exchange and results lubricant and
air insufficiently cooled.
Clean the cooler in such case.
Remove the front door or rear cover, remove the main-
tenance cover and check if any dirt or dust adheres.
If so, the cooler must be cleaned.
400〜500mm
Air Cleaning Pipe
It is easy to clean if the nose of the pipe is
bent for about 20 to 40 mm from its end.
If the unit is heavily contaminated, more heavy duty clean-
ing such as steam cleaning seems to be required.
Ask your dealer or Hitachi Service Station for information.
