● Procure “RMS Grease” (part item No.: 131) from the
SCREW distributor.
● Replenish grease while the compressor is running.
● Clean the grease reservoir while the compressor is not
running.
8.11 Greasing of Motor
Replenish 75 grams of grease on the load side of the main
motor.
Use “Rare max supper N” KYOUDO YUSHI Co., LTD
(Hitachi part name : RMS Grease).
● Example of Grease Gun
Lever-type grease gun made by Yamada Corporation
Model: CH-400 Micro Hose (nozzle type: SPK-1C)
IMPORTANT
Load side
① Open the front door to access to the greasing port
that is located on the right of the air intake filter.
Use the grease gun to insert a specified amount of
grease.
② Draw the grease reservoir out, and if the used
grease has been discharged, clean the grease reser-
voir as required.
③ Close the front door.
Anti-load side
Because the bearing used on the anti-load side is of
shield type, greasing is not necessary. Replace bearings
periodically according to Section 8.1 “Periodic
Maintenance for Compressor” (
see p. 42),
Section 8.2 “Typical Maintenance Schedule (A) of Air
Compressor” (
see p. 43), and Section 8.3 “Typical
Maintenance Schedule (B) of Air Compressor” (
see p. 44).

8.12 Cleaning of DCBL Motor Cooling Fins
If dust adheres to the motor fins, it could cause the
cooling capacity of motor fan to diminish, the life of
motor to decrease and parts to become faulty.
① Disconnect the power, remove the right cover, and
detach the motor duct.
Immediately after the shutdown, the motor and cool-
ing fins are hot. Wait until they are cooled down, and
then commence cleaning.
② Check for dust in the motor cooling fins and blow
away any matter adhering to the fin by blowing dry
air using an angled air blow nozzle. This time, be
careful that the dust will not collect around the
DCBL motor thermistor. Also, pay attention not to
break wires of the thermistor during the work.
③ Reassemble the right cover and the motor duct as
before.
