Congratulations on your purchase
of an SJ200 Series Hitachi inverter!
This inverter drive features state-of-
the-art circuitry and components to
provide high performance. The
housing footprint is exceptionally
small, given the size of the corre-
sponding motor. The Hitachi SJ200
product line includes more than a
dozen inverter models to cover
motor sizes from 1/4 horsepower to
10 horsepower, in either 240 VAC
or 480 VAC power input versions.
The main features are:
• 200V and 400V Class inverters
• US or EU versions available (country-specific input voltage range and default values)
• New intelligent sensorless vector control (iSLV)—auto-tuning no longer necessary
• Dynamic braking with external resistor
• Convenient, removable keypad for parameter settings, can be mounted on panel door
• Built-in RS-485 MODBUS RTU as standard
• New current limit function
• Sixteen programmable speed levels
• PID control adjusts motor speed automatically to maintain a process variable value
The design in Hitachi inverters overcomes many of the traditional trade-offs between
speed, torque and efficiency. The performance characteristics are:
• High starting torque of 200% at 1Hz
• Continuous operation at 100% torque within a 1:10 speed range (6/60 Hz / 5/50 Hz)
without motor derating
• Fan has ON/OFF selection to provide longer life for cooling fan (on models with fan)
