Operating and charging the ancillary battery
Ifthemotorhomeisnotconnectedtothe230Vmainssupply,
theancillarybatterywillsupplytheelectricalsystemwith12V
DCvoltage.Sincethebatteryonlyhasalimitedcapacity,the
electricaldevicesshouldnotbeoperatedforalongerperiod
of time without charging the battery or connecting the cam-
pertothe230Vmainsconnection.
Theancillarybatterycanbechargedfromthefollowingpo-
wer sources:
- the generator when the motor is running
-theCA360charger
(onlyvia230Vpowerfeed)
Thesourceofinputwiththehighestinputvoltagesupplies
the charge current for the connected battery.
•Alwayschargetheancillarybatteryforatleast10hoursbefore
eachjourney,directlyaftereachjourneyandbeforeyoutake
themotorhometemporarilyoutofservice.
•Useeveryopportunityduringyourjourneytocharge
the battery.
•Thebatterylosesitscapacityafterhavingbeenused
forawhileandatlowtemperatures.
• Anacousticwarningsignalwillbegivenoiftheremai-
ningtimeduringdischargeoperationislessthan
1 hour.
•Awarningwillgooifthebatteryagestoavalueless
than50%ofitsnominalcapacity.
•Thebatteryisonlychargedifithasaminimumvoltage
of 8 V.
• Ifthevehicleisnotinuseforalongerperiodoftime,thebatte-
ryshouldbedisconnectedafterithasbeenoptimallycharged
byswitchingthebatterycircuitbreakeron.
