What to do if my Holzmann Lathe machine does not start?
    • C
      Curtis HerringAug 4, 2025
If your Holzmann Lathe isn't starting, begin by checking all electrical connections. If the issue persists, try changing the fuse and activating the contactor. As a last resort, consider replacing the cable.

Why does the turning tool on my Holzmann Lathe have a short life?
    • T
      Troy CowanAug 11, 2025
Several factors can cause a turning tool to have a short life. These include a hard casting skin, which requires pre-break casting, high cutting speed (select a lower cutting speed), too large an advance (lower delivery to a finishing allowance of no more than 0.5 mm), or insufficient cooling (increase cooling).

Why my Holzmann Lathe machine does not come up to speed?
    • D
      Dustin WeeksAug 16, 2025
If your Holzmann Lathe isn't reaching full speed, it could be due to an extension cord that is too long (exchange it, refer to the wiring box cover for correct wiring). It might also be unsuitable for the existing motor voltage (contact an electrician). A weak power grid can also be a contributing factor.

What to do if cutting breaks out on my Holzmann Lathe?
    • L
      Laura SnyderAug 22, 2025
If cutting breaks out, it may be due to a wedge angle that is too small, leading to heat congestion (choose a greater wedge angle). Grinding cracks from improper cooling can also cause this issue (cool uniformly). Finally, excessive play in the spindle bearings can cause vibrations (adjust play or replace tapered roller bearings if necessary).

How to stop my Holzmann Lathe from vibrating strongly?
    • K
      Kevin CastroAug 28, 2025
Strong vibrations in your Holzmann Lathe can be caused by the machine standing on uneven ground (reconstitute). Also, check if the engine mounting is loose and tighten the fixing screws.
