Windows Vista / Windows 7
Click “Start”, then in the “Search programs and files”
box, type cmd and press Enter.
A command prompt will open. Type ipconfig /all and
press Enter.
Find the value for “Default Gateway”, this is your
router’s local IP address.
For example, it could be “192.168.1.1”.
You can now close the command prompt window.
Type exit and press Enter, or click the cross at the top
right of the window.

Press the “Start” button on your keyboard, or hover
your mouse pointer at the bottom left corner of the
screen and click the tile to open the “Start” screen.
Type cmd to search for the Command Prompt. It will
be displayed in the Apps list at the top left of the
screen. Press Enter or click the icon to open the
program.
You will be returned to the Windows desktop and the
command prompt window will open. To display
network information, type ipconfig /all and press
Enter.
