Honda 2004 CRF250X - Engine Idle Speed

Apply grease to the f ilter side of the spring end.
Install the spring into the new oil filte r.
Install the oil filter wit h the " OUT SIDE" mark facing
out.
NOTICE
Installing the oil filter backwards will result in severe
engine damage .
Apply en gine oil to a new O- ring and install it to the
oil filter cover.
Install the oil filter cover and t ighten the bolts .
Fill
the engine with the recommended oil.
Oil CAPACITY:
0.66 liter (0. 70 US qt , 0. 58 Imp qt) at draining
0.69 liter (0. 73 US qt , 0. 61 Imp qtl at oil filter change
Install the oil filler cap/dipstick.
Recheck the
oil level (page 3-17).
Make sure
there are no oil leaks.
Install
the engine guard (page 2-4).
ENGINE IDLE SPEED
NOTE:
• Inspect and adjust the idle speed after all other
engine adjustments are within specifications .
• The engine must be warm for an accurate idle
inspection and adjustment. Ten m inutes of st op
and go riding is sufficient.
Wa rm up the engine, sh ift the transmiss i on into
neutral, and hold the motorcycle upright. Connect a
tachometer ac c ording to its manufacturer's instruc-
tions.
Turn the thrott le stop sc r ew to obtain the specified
idle speed.
IDLE SPEED: 1,700 ± 100 rpm
