Configuring RSTP
It is a network protocol which facilitates with a loop-free topology for Ethernet networks. You can
configure the properties of RSTP using workbench. To know more about RSTP, see Rapid Spanning
Tree Protocol (RSTP) section in the CIPer 30 System Engineering User Guide 31-00236.
Configuring RSTP via Workbench
1. Open the Niagara workbench.
2. Connect to the required platform and station
3. Navigate to IPCNetwork folder under Station > Config > Drivers, expand IPCNetwork
4. Double click on Local Device and select RSTP Configuration.
5. Select true to Enable the RSTP communication
6. Select true to run Reboot After Save function. This function reboots the controller after
configuration you completed all the changes.
7. Select the required bridge priority value from the drop-down list.
