Verify that the bar code being 
scanned falls into the configured 
criteria (i.e. character length lock or 
minimum bar code length settings). 
 
The following item is only relevant for RS232 and Serial USB Interfaces. 
The imager 
scans a bar 
code, but locks 
up after the first 
scan and the 
white LED stays 
on. 
The imager is 
configured to support 
some form of host 
handshaking but is not 
receiving the signal. 
If the imager is setup to support 
ACK/NAK, RTS/CTS, or 
XON/XOFF, verify that the host 
cable and host are supporting the 
handshaking properly. 
The imager 
scans, but the 
data transmitted 
to the host is 
incorrect. 
The imager’s data 
format does not 
match the host 
system requirements. 
Verify that the imager’s data 
format matches that required by 
the host.  Make sure that the 
imager is connected to the proper 
host port.
