ThisrelayprocessesthesignalfromthePhoto
Eyes.ItshutstheIceFlakeroffwhentheIceBin
isfulltopreventdamagecausedbyicebacking
upintotheevaporatorsection.
MotorRelay(R1)
ThisrelayprovidespowertotheDriveMotor,
theWaterPump,
andtheSolenoidValve.It
featuresamanualoverridebutton,whichwhen
depressedwillengagetherelaycontacts,even
whentherelaycoilisnotenergized.
Transformer(T1)
Thisprovides24voltcontrolpowertothe
ControlModule,MotorRelay,andindicating
lights.
IceFlakerRunIndicatorLight
Thisis
litgreenduringNormalOperation.
MotorOverloadIndicatorLight
ThisislitamberwhenIceFlakerisinOverload
Condition.TheResetButtonislocatedonthe
rearoftheIceflaker.Itisanormallyopen
switch,whichresetsthecircuitafteran
OverloadCondition.
ControlModule(CM)
Thecontrol
Modulefeatureseightwire
terminals,twoadjustabledials,andone
indicatinglight.
Itoperatesinoneofthreemainmodes:

IceFlakerRunSwitchLeg(Term6)andthe
SolenoidValveContacts(Term7&8)are
closed.
Off‐DelayCycle
TheOff‐DelayCyclebeginswhenvoltageis
removedfromtheControlSignal(Term3).
ThelengthoftheOff‐DelayCycleisdetermined
by
theblueOff‐DelaySettingdial.The
incrementsareinminuteswith1beingthe
lowestpossiblesettingand30beingthe
highest.
DuringtheOff‐DelayCyclevoltageispresentat
IceFlakerRunSwitchLeg(Term6)untilthe
timesettinghasbeenmet.TheSolenoidValve
Contacts(Term
7&8)areopenedwhenthe
Off‐DelayCycleisinitiated.
Off‐DelaySetting
UnderNormalOperationtheOff‐DelaySetting
shouldbeadjustedtorunapproximatel y2
minutesaftertheSolenoidValveshutsoffthe
refrigerationtotheIceFlaker.
Forproperadjustment,turnknob
counterclockwiseuntilit
stops.Thenturn
clockwise1/8turnandstop.
