Changing Ribbons During Operation
As
mentioned
earlier,
the
HP
2601
will
stop
printing,
light
the
RIBBON/PAPER
light,
and
sound
the
alarm
upon
reaching
the
end
of
a
carbon
ribbon.
Should
this
happen
while
receiving
data
from
the
system,
you
should
open
the
access
cover,
replace
the
ribbon
cartridge
as
described,
close
the
access
cover,
and
then
touch
the
Control
Panel
RESET
switch
to
resume
printing.
NOTE
You
should
ensure
the
ribbon
is
ten-
sioned
and
in
the
position
(up
or
down)
last
commanded
by
the
host
prior
to
resuming
system
operation.
