OPERATION
-
BEFORE
APPLYING
POWER
verify
that
the
power
transformer
primary
is
matched
to
the
available
line
voltage,
the
correct
fuse
is
installed,
and
Safety
Precautions
are
taken
(see
the
following
warnings)
.
In
addition,
note
the
Instrument's
external
markings
which
are
described
under
"Safety
Symbols
."
WARNING

Servicing
Instructions
are
for
use
by
service-trained
personnel
.
To
avoid
dangerous
electric
shock,
do
not
perform
any
servicing
unless
qualified
to
do so
.
oBEFORE
SWITCHING
ON
THE
INSTRUMENT,
the
protective
earth
terminal of
the
instrument
must
be
connected
to
the
protective
conductor
of
the
(mains)
powercord
.
The
mains
plug
shall
only
be
inserted
in
a
socket
outlet
provided
with
a
protective earth
contact
.
The
protective
action
must
not be
negated
by
the
use
of
an
extension
cord
(power
cable)
without
a
protective
conductor
(grounding)
.
