Note
When performing the following tests each time after pressing the
switch on the Head Recognition Adapter ER 3200 HEAD-DAT will
appear. To
continue the tests or to repeat a test, the error state must
be overwritten by pressing any key on the HP8153A front panel.
14. RANGE O, RANGE 1
The states of RANGE 1 and RANGE O depend on the respective
HP8153A range settings. Check the
status
of the range selection
signal on the RANGE 1 and RANGE O receptacles on the
Testj'Cal.

Set the Oscilloscope
as
follows: Input to 2V /DIV, DC coupled,
lMOhm. TIME/DIV to 0.005s/DIV; Sweep Mode to AUTO.
15. +5V
Using the Test Cable connect the +5V receptacle to the
oscilloscope.
When pressing the switch on the Head Recognition Adapter, the
+5V output should switch from OV to +5V and back to OV after
approx,
2s.
16. MODE O (MODE 1)
Connect the Test Cable from the MODE O (MODE 1) receptacle
to the oscilloscope.
When pressing the switch on the Head Recognition Adapter
the MODE O (MODE 1) output should switch from OV to
approx.s-S'V and back to OV after approx, 2s.
17. CLOCK
Using the Test Cable connect the CLOCK receptacle to the
oscilloscope.
