Removing the Mother Board
Note
You will require a long shafted cross headed screwdriver to perform
this task.
1. Remove the instrument housing (see "Removing the Instrument
Housing").
2. Remove the front panel assembly (see "Removing the Front Panel
Assembly") .
3. Remove the power supply board (see "Removing the Power Supply
Board")
4. Remove the processor board (see "Removing the Processor
Board")
5. Remove the screws holding the mother board to the chassis. Four
of these are located at the back of the plug-in slot, and you will
need a long shafted screwdriver to turn them.
6.
Lift the mother board out through the top of the chassis.
Removing the Fan Assembly
Note
Before removing the fan, please note that you will require four
replacement rivets (HP Part No. 0361-1314) for reassembling.
1. Remove the instrument housing (see "Removing the Instrument
Housing").
2. Remove the front panel assembly (see "Removing the Front Panel
AssembIy") .
3. Remove the power supply board (see "Removing the Power Supply
Board")
4. Cut and then remove the plastic rivets that are holding the fan
assembly.
Note
When you are mounting a fan assembly, insert the new plasic rivets
from the side where the boards are located, not from the side of the
plug-in slot.
