You can also change to a directory and use Make Directory to create a subdirectory The
number of characters in a directory and subdirectory path cannot exceed the MS-DOS limitation of 63.
Change to a Directory 1. Press the @J @j keys to highlight the directory you want to change to.
Then press Change DirecSary . After changing directories, the current
directory name appears in the top box of the displayed table.
2. ‘lb change to the previous directory, highlight . . <PARENT> and press
cfrmge Directory to return to the disk’s previous directory.
3. To change to the disk’s main or root directory, continue highlighting and
changing to the . .
<PARENT> directory until the current directory name in
the top box is simply a backslash ’ \. ’
Remove a Directory 1. A directory must be empty before it can be removed. If there are Eles in
the directory that you want to move elsewhere and delete, refer to “Other
File Utilities,” earlier in this chapter for information on how to copy and
delete files.
2. Highlight the directory to be removed by using the front panel knob or the
Q) QJ keys.
3. Press Remove Directory .
